About Danielle

Hi, I'm Danielle!

I am in my senior year, approaching graduation for my Bachelor's Degree. I am majoring in Childhood Education and Mathematics. I have expertise in Math Grades 1-6 and will soon be licensed to teach those content areas. You may find someone knowledgeable in the math curriculum, but I have the unique quality of also being an effective teacher! Since I am a Math Major, I am very skilled in high-level math, up to Calculus 3.

I have been a teacher at a preschool, have done student teaching in a variety of grade levels throughout middle school and high school, and have a passion for working with students. There is often a moment in time when teaching where the concept "clicks." That moment is why I do what I do. It is so rewarding to watch students succeed and hear that their grades have improved! I am very positive, easy to talk to, and look forward to hearing from you!

Personal Story: My grandmother was my first student at the age of 5, when she ever so kindly, arguably willingly, sat in front of my portable whiteboard to listen to my lectures and do the homework I sent her home with. When you know, you know! I always knew I wanted to be a teacher

I am approaching my graduation for my Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Education and Mathematics! I have a long history of working with students in student teaching, at a preschool, and being a nanny!

About the lesson

I am so excited to meet with any prospective students and/or parents before our "first session" to chat and make sure we are the right fit! Some things I'd love to discuss are what content area you are struggling with, discussing available times for us to meet, and how I can be the best assistance to you! After this session, if we decide to move forward, I can prepare references, resources and schedule our first meeting! (Note: Something that is extremely helpful is have homework, class handouts, quizzes, tests, or any class material available for me to refer to!)

Every student learns differently so we can go about your tutoring experience in a variety of ways. One way I go about tutoring is briefly re-teaching the lesson so that we have a stronger foundation moving forward. If you have a strong grasp of the content but are only struggling with a couple of areas or problems, you are more than welcomed to send me specific problems to prepare to breakdown and teach! I am very flexible and willing to adjust to your learning style! I am here to help you succeed!

I started nannying at 13 years old. I taught at a preschool for a few years. I worked with students from 6th grade through 12th grade, student teaching in Math classrooms! I am flexible to work with any age level!

A lot of what makes an effective teacher has to do with acknowledging the best way students learn. Yes, it is very easy for teachers to teach the same lesson session after session. Please make sure the teacher makes the lesson personal to you and your struggles and allows you to ask many questions! Questions are what helps us learn!

A recent personal endeavor I am enjoying is cooking! It is a fun hobby that I am indulging in and learning about!

I do not have a standard pricing system. Every child's needs are different! Since I offer tutoring in elementary mathematics up to Calculus 3, pricing will vary! I base my pricing not only on the expertise I bring during live tutoring sessions but the vast preparation I do for each session!
