About Christina
I believe my accomplishments and experience make my tutoring stand out:
-I got a 100% on last year's math final and a 600 on the SOL.
-I received the Math Achievement Certificate last year, which is awarded to one student in each team (about 100 students).
-Last year, I helped my math teacher prepare her Math 7 students for the SOL.
-This year, I tutor pre-algebra students during my free period (every other day).
*I am currently a Geometry student, and would be confident tutoring in any math up to Geometry.
Tutoring is extremely gratifying. I've discovered the immense satisfaction of watching a student have an “aha” moment. To see my influence on their improvement gives me hope to continue tutoring. After working hard to explain a concept, I am rewarded by their understanding.
My math teacher asked me to help her Math 7 students prepare for the end-of-the-year standardized testing last year.
I have two years of tutoring experience, and have demonstrated math achievement throughout my academic career.
