About Kian
Kian graduated Phi Beta Kappa and as a Plan II Distinguished Graduate with Special Honors on a full ride from the University of Texas at Austin. He also holds a Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School, where he was a George Washington and Thurgood Marshall Scholar. Over the years, he has worked at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Department of Justice, and U.S. House of Representatives.
Kian has helped a wealth of students improve exam scores. Kian has tutored for over a decade and worked for a number of tutoring companies such as Varsity Tutors, Math Geeks & Science Freaks, and Ad Alta Tutoring. His teaching philosophy centers on establishing trust and rapport in an open learning environment. Beyond solving problems, Kian seeks to inspire critical thinking skills and an appreciation for scholarship. He finds mentorship to be the most meaningful element of tutoring.
A cultural enthusiast, Kian has traveled to over twenty countries. He enjoys Ted Radio Hour podcasts, photography, cycling, and basketball.
