About Rupinder

I find each student's weaknesses and try to work on improving them first. For instance, in math I would look for basic math skills of a student by providing them a simple test first and then conclude my teaching style based on that. I also help students understand each and every step throughout every calculation. I helped my peers in high school by tutoring them during the break. In science, I would help my peers by creating mnemonics. I believe if students learn in this way, they remember things for longer periods of time. I have finished high school with an honor roll and I have completed Finance Honors in York University.

I love working with students as it helps me keep in-touch with the basic knowledge of the subject. I also love the environment as it provides happiness to me (i.e. I am able to help someone). Tutoring someone would also enhance my knowledge of the subject. The challenges pose by students would make me think about the subject deeply, it would also require me to think outside of the box as well as make me think how it applies to the real-world application. These challenges would aid me and students to further enhance our understanding of the subject.

I have finished my high school with an honor roll. I am a recent BCom. Finance Specialized Honors graduate from York University. I have helped my peers in high school and university during free time. I have also conducted home-tutoring service for high school students.

About the lesson

I love meeting new students and listen to the academic problems that they are facing currently. I ask them questions like, "What do they need help in today?", "When is the deadline?", and "How can I help them?" I would assure them that I am trustworthy tutor who has their best interests in my mind at all times.

I was having difficulties in advanced math grade 12. She not only helped me pass my tests and exam, but she also gave her best to teach me math without using too much calculator. Now, I am also to solve most of the problems in my head and it has made me save time on my tests as I have had a lot of practice. Remember to finish your homework every time she assigns you any because she checks it the next day and asks you where you had difficulty. Then, she spends about 20-30 mins helping you with your difficulties in the homework before starting a new chapter. Also, don't forget to attend the tutoring session every time because it won't be much help to polish skills in just one day before a test.
