About Aliah

My goal is to spread arts all over Louisiana. People of all ages absolutely love my teaching style and the projects I choose.

I have been teaching art for over 20yrs in Texas and Louisiana, and still have a passion for sharing the love of art!

I am a mom of two artists as well. Both my daughters create and perform.

Louisiana K12 Art certification

Louisiana Talented Art certified

Montessori trained

BFA in sculpture

MFA Art education and History

Masters of fine arts in education and history.

Bachelor's of fine arts in sculpture

Currently exhibit and sell work.

Louisiana and Texas certified in talented and traditional visual arts

Montessori trained. For younger students, I apply those methods to my style of teaching art.

About the lesson

Students come as they are, I show them the tools they will be working with, the medium we will use, the project that we will create, and then we start working. I typically allow the student to decide what music we will listen to, while we enjoy the creative process.

Depending of the level of experience, I will have options for next step projects. This allows students to grow in the direction they see as best fitting for them.

I also take requests, for the types of projects my students would like to try.
