About Meraki By

I have been given the opportunity to showcase my artworks both Nationwide and Internationally, winning several awards and recognitions.

I aspire to teach other to be in tune with their inner artist and create artworks that are meaningful to them, whatever that looks like.

I love to create surreal portraits through digital or traditional paintings.

Art is everything to me. It is surrounding us and helps to put our feelings, perspectives, and philosophy in a tangible, visual way.

I would create a portfolio and curriculum and would present it to different workplaces where I found potential in teaching students new skills. I would show up and present this, explaining how not only I as the teacher would benefit but their students and workplace would as well in many different aspects.

I have both Student and Teacher experience with Art.

I am pursuing a degree BFA in Experimental Animation.

I was previously an art teacher from ages 1-18+, teaching different techniques, processes, and experimentation.

About the lesson

I give an introduction of how my classes function from all aspects; what to expect, what are the lessons behind each painting, what form or direction I use to explain, materials, philosophy, etc. I always ask questions about what the student would like to receive from this class, what is the best way they learn new information, and how they can input their own ideas to create something magical with their newfound knowledge.

I have worked with students of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of art experience. I have taught from ages 1 -18+ years old. I am also bilingual, as am fluent in both English and Spanish.

To not feel intimated or judge for the level of experience with art, everyone has to start from somewhere. No idea is too big or too hard, as long as you are guided properly.

Art techniques are mostly just an illusion, and if you understand how it's made, everything else becomes easier I promise.

As cheesy as it sounds, practice makes perfect.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should understand what they are looking for and ask as best as they can, so the teacher can respond to them to the best of their abilities. It's even okay to not know what you want, but always be willing to try out first, you never know what skill you might have hidden.

Details

I have standard pricing of hours per lesson.

My lessons are up to 2 hours per lesson/session.

$25 per hour.

If the sessions need to exceed that time last minute, there is an extra $15 fee per hour, no more than 4 hours per session.

If artwork needs more time or perfecting, we can always schedule more sessions. Needs to be discussed before the session ends to properly appoint it.

There is a 36 hours cancellation policy, but you will be charged for the first hour as a cancellation fee.
