I love teaching! I love helping people reach their goals and achieve their full potential as musicians

I started out as a child teaching my brothers and mom. Because I performed regularly in my hometown, around age 12 I began being approached by parents interested in lessons for their children, so I took on a number of school age students. From there I have expanded my curriculum to include individual and group lessons as well as in-school and extracurricular programs.

I was classically trained from the age of 5 and began performing publicly soon after. At the age of 12 I began working as a church pianist and soon after took jobs as a choir accompanist, playing for weddings and funerals, and performing at social events. I began teaching privately at the age of 15, and I performed competitively throughout high school. Since then I have initiated music programs in private schools to include music theory classes, private and group lessons, performance training, and musical theatre.

I identify the students goals and interests. Do you want to learn Beethoven, or the Beatles? Be able to read any piece of music, play your favorite songs by ear, write your own songs or instrumental works, or improvise?

All ages and abilities

Ask lots of questions, and don't be afraid to try something new! 😁

Seeing my son embrace his talent and grow in his ability as a pianist 😊

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should have a good sense of their personal level of commitment. I am willing to work with all students, from casual interest to motivated daily commitment; however, my approach varies for each.
