About Pallavi
Hello! My name is Pallavi, and I am a current Master's student studying Marriage and Family Therapy. I'm 23 years old and I recently received my B.S. in Clinical Psychology from UC San Diego. Prior to my graduate program, I worked in HR at a major rental car company. I am incredibly passionate about psychology and would love to help foster this passion in you!
I have over 4 years of tutoring experience! While AP Psychology is my main focus, I also tutor in elementary/middle school math and science, AP Statistics, and English. I love working with students of all ages, but I especially love working with middle and high school students. I feel that my age makes me slightly more relatable, helping me to understand and empathize with a lot of their fears and struggles.
I was not - and still am not - the perfect student. However, I believe that makes me a great teacher, since I have been able to learn from my mistakes and apply what I have learned confidently. Unfortunately, the monetary value of grades and GPA keeps us from embracing the subjects we are learning about. I want to help you bring back that passion for learning WHILE getting that A. You can do both, I promise!
