About Elizabeth

Hi successful student,

For as long as I can remember, I have loved to work 1-1 helping students, people succeed in what they need support on; to improve and succeed. I enjoy seeing people having fun in what they are learning!

I am well versed in Reading Comprehension and simple writing. I enjoy seeing people excited learning something new they didn’t know before. During college as a student of Psychology during my Fieldwork with Children at Ramapo College of New Jersey, for 2 years or so, I was a Teacher's Assistant at a preschool where I helped organize the teacher's lesson plans, I helped the children with their projects, reading comprehension, spelling etc

I look forward to seeing you succeed and would love to work with you!

I look forward to hearing from you and discuss the next steps to help you succeed

To your success,

Elizabeth Wojtowicz

What I enjoy about working 1-1 with people is the individual attention I can provide to support my students succeeding. I love helping people and students succeed; in what they need support on while also encouraging self sufficiency in learning the skill, method, application. I enjoy seeing people excited learning something new they did not know before.

I got started teaching and really interested in teaching I would say ever since my Fieldwork with Children internship at college

And then a few years after that, I became a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher

The education and/or training that I have that relates to my work is I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology where for my Fieldwork with Children Intetnship I was a Teacher's Assistant at a preschool where I helped the teacher organize her lesson plans, I helped the children with their projects and I helped them with their reading skills; 1-1 or in a group

My typical process for working with a new student is, getting to know each other, it's important to build a repoire. Inviting the student to ask any and all questions they may have...to not be shy that they may not know the answer and if something they may need help in support in that may be out of my area of expertise, I will reach out to people that I know

I have worked with mainly children, in preschool but as someone who was in special education classes in elementary school and as a Psychology Major, I feel I am well versed in working with children and young adolescents

Advice I would give a student looking to hire a teacher in my area of expertise is "Go with someone that encourages you and your growth and learning."

A recent event I am fond of is reaching out to new connections, networking on LinkedIn

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Questions students should think through before talking to teachers about their needs:

•What IS a way I CAN figure this out?

•Let me TRY a way that I CAN and if I still am struggling after trying it on my OWN, I will ask for support.

•And after the student has tried all options on their own as best they can and they still need support...framing the question to the teacher "Could you SUPPORT me in this?" Rather than saying "Can you help me?" "Can you SUPPORT me?"
