About Kori
I'm on a mission to help you achieve your full potential every day. As Susan L. Taylor said, "Thoughts are energy and you can make your world or break your world by thinking."
My academic qualifications include a master's degree in Educational Psychology, graduate certificate in Positive Psychology, and a bachelor's in Psychology (minors in English and Sociology). Besides this, I hold TESOL and TEFL certifications, and tutor through VIPKid.
For the past five years, I've worked as a substitute teacher in three school districts, and coached chess for longer than that! My current Nebraska teaching permit is as a "local substitute teacher" and I've held this since 2015. Not only does this require a minimum of a bachelor's degree, but also a multicultural education class, and a background check.
I've worked in groups and one-to-one with students from pre-k through 12th grade, and with adult learners. I love teaching people how to achieve more than they believe possible. This is why I started Ardent Path Coaching & Consulting. If you feel I'm a good fit for you or your young learner, reach out and let's see how I can help!
I'm easy to find! You can learn more about me at:

How do you find the right fit? It's important for you to understand your strengths and weaknesses. If you know that following through is a weak area for you, then you probably need an accountability type of tutor. This person will help you create mile markers to reach along the way to completing your tasks. This tutor also can help you determine appropriate rewards. This is especially true for someone who struggles to complete writing assignments. Many learners have habits preventing them from reaching their stated goals. Find a tutor who understands and can teach you how to break down habits that aren't helping you, and build up those that will.
