About Margaret
My passion in life is helping people discover how to express themselves artistically by using their body as an instrument. I want to help you become so comfortable and confident with your own unique voice and style of music that it wont just be about learning a song, but more about taking the song and making it your own.
As an international singer myself, I grew up with the only option of being classically trained from the age of 10 and then only on my own time was I allowed to sing my genre of music. That quickly changed when I started my bachelor in voice as a classical singer and stumbled upon Berklee College of Music in Boston(Top 5 Schools in the world for modern singing). I was able to complete my degree in a three year span as an honor student, studying many new genres of modern voice. As a vocal director in Hillsong Church, Aalesund, Norway, I was able to regularly do workshops with the vocalists that not only revovled around the voice but also had a lot to do with stage presence as an artist. Teaching privately for five years has given me the ability to equip multiple people both vocally through vocal health, breathing and technique as well as artistically through expression, confidene and originality.
I teach modern voice in genres such as Pop, RnB, Country, Jazz and Rock. I believe that technique, breath support, vocal health, control, strength, range and timbre(color,tone) along with practice and experience are what make up a great singer! I also, strongly believe that I am very able to guide people to a place where they sound amazing vocally and feel wonderful about themselves artistically.
