About Bruce

If you have watched voice coach videos and ever wondered how to make a specific vocal exercise work for you in a song? That's where I come in.

I teach from an evidence based approach that I developed over the years using a hybrid of classical and contemporary voice methods. I use fewer exercises and more from songs to teach and reinforce methods.

I've been a voice teacher and coach for over 25 years. I help singers find "Their Voice" so they can learn how to stand out from the crowd.

I teach online and in person.

My students perform around the area and all over.

I started teaching while studying voice in college back in the 90's to pay for my own lessons.

Since then, I've always been invoved to some degree of voice teaching and coaching while performing myself.

I enjoy teaching and watching students perform even more than I enjoyed performing myself.

My Vocal education is from years of study both privately and in university and performing.

I teach using an Evidence Based results system that I developed over the years combining Classical and Contemporary concepts.

My students learn concepts that work in songs and not just exercizes.

About the lesson

In the first lesson we spend the first few minutes getting to know each other and get an idea for the Singer's goals.

Next, we Sing!
I want to hear the students voice and get an idea of their range.

Then we go over some basic breathing and singing techniques to give the student something to work on with a song of their choice. (Afterall, there is nothing worse than leaving a lesson with nothing to work with)

My Goal is to help you find Your Voice!

I work with all levels and ages of singers.

Children, Teens and Adults.

I work with "Special Needs" students (I have a special needs child myself, so I get it!)

Ask the teacher/coach who they study with themselves.

There are many "Voice Teachers" and "Vocal Coaches" out there that have no real understanding of teaching or how the human vocal system really works.

If the teacher's only experience is "singing in choir" or singing in a band or as a soloist, then you should really reconsider who you are hiring. The voice is a delicate system that can easily be damaged.

My students get the opportunity to perform live all over the local area.

They sing at events, festivals, School performances, TV Contests and professionally.

I was asked to have a student perform online for the Vice President of the US at the California Inauguration party a couple of years ago.

What’s not to like? Bruce is so kind and accommodating. He worked well with my daughter, from vocal lessons to math tutoring. She came out of her shell with her vocals and actually got to the point where she would sing in front of people. As for math tutoring, let’s just say she finished her freshman year of high school with an A+! I don’t trust too many people with my daughter, but I was more than comfortable dropping her off for tutoring and voice. Bruce is a great guy.😊
