About Phyllis

My studio and teaching approach focuses on lessons that encourage creative expression. I work with you to discover your own natural voice and help you to shape it, color it and share it. I also help you to find songs that fit your voice and can work with you to develop live performance skills.

I'm am a professional singer/songwriter, artist and teacher who has written, recorded and produced several contemporary pop/jazz songs. I have performed locally and nationally and have had my music featured on various music programs.

I am a very patient and mindful teacher that can help you to discover your own voice in a very relaxing low pressured way. I make it fun and in time you will be singing with confidence.

I enjoy working with students that want to learn because as they learn, I too learn! It's very rewarding to work with my students to achieve their goals. When they are happy, I too am happy! It's an inter-connected creative learning experience that results in creative growth and connection for both the student and teacher.

Real life experiences: School of Life- Getting out there and just doing it and learning along the way.

Performing, recording artist, stage & studio experience, band leader, singer/songwriter, booking gigs, producing events, promotion, airplay, 4 cd releases, media coverage and a following. Education and training was on the job for over 30 years and working live with some of the greatest musicians around the world.

I took voice classes with Phyllis and enjoyed it. She was calm and patient with my "deaf ears". Her classes would pass by so quickly, and I felt light and happy every time.... singing is so healing to me. Unfortunately, I had to stop classes with her because I lacked time. I still sing in my car, shower, home karaoke though. Thanks Phyllis for our sweet time, I miss our talks and classes :)
