About Sandra
My name is Sandra Booker. I have been a professional singer for more than 35 years. I attended the New Orleans Center of Creative Art now the NOCCA Institute. I'm a graduate of UCLA with a B.A. in Ethnomusicology. I also studied privately with the esteemed voice teacher Bela Berger and voice coach Marion Cooper, respectively. I specialize in sight-singing and ear training and vocal range development as well as masterclasses and workshops that highlight the importance of stage performance.
I have performed with artists such as Lalo Schifrin, Karen Briggs, Dan Foliart, Billy Higgins, Harry Connick, Jr., Frank Collett, Dennis Dreith Band, Dado Maroni, and many others. Teaching voice is truly my passion.
The Sandra Booker Vocal Shop is a one-on-one program that provides the rudiments of music for the adolescent and adult student designed to teach music as a language and build a solid foundation for those interested in pursuing the vocal arts, whether as employment or pure enjoyment. It is never too soon or too late to learn the language of music.
