About Joseph
Learning to sing is exciting and complex. The process is most effective when we work together to build a collaborative, trusting learning environment. In our lessons, we will explore all aspects of singing in a productive, safe, and non-judgmental space.
Healthy singing can happen in any style of music. Working with a diverse body of teaching and performance literature, including classical, musical theatre, jazz and pop, we will cultivate the technical, musical, and intellectual components of healthy singing necessary in performance both inside and outside of the studio.
Vocal performance is strongly linked to our bodies and to our ability to understand and communicate emotions and ideas. In lessons, we will integrate aspects of movement, posture and the theatre arts in order to give you the ability to sing freely, to communicate clearly and purposefully, and to be ready for auditions and performances.
Choosing the right voice teacher is an essential part of your personal musical journey. Because of that, I encourage you to contact me for a demo lesson and with any and all questions.
Whether you are in high-school, college, an emerging pro or just love to sing,we can accomplish a lot together!
