About Angela
Because singing comes so naturally to many of us, we often don’t realize that there are ways to sing that are healthy, efficient and effective, and many ways that can be just the opposite.
Good vocal technique is all about releasing unnecessary body tension and strain, learning to harness and utilize the breath efficiently, and creating resonance to achieve a wonderful sound. When students discover these skills, singing becomes effortless, lovely and incredibly enjoyable.
At Cascade Voice Academy, we truly believe that anyone can improve his or her voice regardless of age, experience or perceived “talent” and we invite you to come explore that possibility with us!

I love the beautiful courage, individuality and creativity that each student brings with them while we make music together.
I have a BA in vocal performance and an MA in music education. I attended and completed the Contemporary Commercial Music training program at Shenandoah University. I am a member of National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), The Voice Foundation, and Pan American Vocology Association (PAVA). I attend many conferences and training seminars about voice science and the art of singing throughout every year. I also read every article and boom about singing that I can get my hands on.

I work with students of all types, styles, genders, interests, ages, etc. My only requirement is that my students are committed to growing and fearless about trying new things in order to explore their voice as an instrument that will help them express themselves.

Details
I use a tuition system that covers 2 seventeen week sessions per school year: one fall and one spring session. This includes 15 one hour weekly lesson, 2 group mattresses, one acting workshop and all performances, which usually included at least 2 per session.
