Excellent voice teacher and active performer that wants to help you achieve your goals whether it be to get lead roles, sing in the chorus, audition, gain vocal clarity and project or just sing for the fun of it. Super credentials and have sung at Lincoln center as a soloist and all over the country.

After singing and performing many years, I began teaching full-time in 2000 after moving from NYC.

Ms. Peden went to school at The New England Conservatory of Music in Boston and lived in New York City where she performed and taught from 1993-2000. While in New York, Deanna made her solo debut at Lincoln Center in 1996. After leaving New York City in 2000, she started a vocal studio in Miami, Florida where she taught voice, musical theater and classical music at the New World School or Performing Arts as well as at The Harid Conservatory of Music at Lynn University in Boca Raton. In 2002, Deanna opened a vocal studio in Southern California and taught voice at the Orange County High School of the Arts in Orange County under the artistic direction of Susan Egan (original Belle in Beauty and the Beast). Ms. Peden lived in Houston from 2003 to 2010 where she was the producer and director of DLP Productions "Houston on Broadway". She has since had studios in Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Phoenix and now I'm Port Charlotte (SW Florida)

About the lesson

New students start with my getting to know their voice through vocal exercises, hearing music that they've performed (if no experience, just exercises to begin with) and then we begin the process of gaining vocal strength, improving sound, building a good solid technique, learning songs, roles appropriate for individual student and building confidence.

All types. From beginners young and old to professional singers and performers.

Make sure you ask questions about background. Have they performed, how long have they been teaching. What are their credentials? It' always good, if you aren't certain, that you take a lesson and see how you like it and how you "click" with the teacher. Most of the time, you can tell right away if the teacher knows what are doing. If you are inexperienced, you will be able to tell with time, if you are improving.

One of the young singers who starred in a musical I produced and directed in Houston, got a lead in "Dear Evan Hanson"
