Hi! I’m Beto, and I’m looking forward to leading you into the exciting world of game development!
I am a Game Developer with over 8 years of experience in Unity game development. During my time at UC Berkeley, I was a youth instructor for The Coder School and a facilitator for UC Berkeley's Game Dev course.
From learning how to move a cube back and forth, to setting up complex animators for humanoid characters, I teach passionate beginner and intermediate students, whether it be lessons on standalone concepts, or working on an entire project.
I pride myself on helping my students realize scopes, retaining learned concepts, and having fun.
I also have side skills in music production, 3D modeling, graphic design, and game publishing, which I can use to enhance my students’ learning experience.

I offer student-suggested, project-based teaching with mini lessons on crucial concepts. In the first session, I collaborate with my students to develop a project that aligns with their interests, and we promptly get started.
A typical session begins with discussing the student's next task for the project. We adjust the scope if necessary to match the student's skill level, work on the decided task, and conclude with a review to solidify the concepts learned.
My lessons are designed for beginner and intermediate users of the Unity Game Engine. While I primarily focus on teaching teenagers and adults, I have also taught Unity to younger students who demonstrate a strong passion for learning.
