I have 23 years experience as a videogame artist and feel very lucky to earn a living doing something artistic and fun. So many talented creatives won't get a job doing something they love that will pay the bills and the videogame industry is not as hard as you think to work in. Good guidance can focus your options, accelerate your artistic ability and give you a more sophisticated artistic perspective

Tuition is for those aged 20 upwards with good artistic ability, you must be able to accurately reproduce simple forms and a reasonable eye for colour and lighting. My lessons are about finding the type of game you want to work on and the type of assets that interest you, my speciality is Hard Surface Modelling (Vehicles/Weapons/Props). Then plotting a straight path to making a solid portfolio that demonstrates your eye for detail, quality and technical ability that will impress those looking for entry level artists and get you to the front of the queue. The lessons are fun, inspiring, and designed to make you level up fast without pressure. Lessons are 20-60 minutes. I prefer to break them down into small chunks during the day so you can easily absorb a short lesson then jump into a quick videocall for feedback and additional direction, this is more effective than a long lesson bombarding you with too much information. I recommend recording the lessons so you can review the tuition on your own time without paying more.
