About Lester
I am a friendly, reliable and approachable tutor who is passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve their goals. I believe that learning should be engaging, supportive and tailored to each individual’s needs.
I take the time to understand each student’s strengths, challenges and learning style, and I adapt my lessons accordingly. Whether you are looking to improve your skills, prepare for an important goal or simply become more confident in your abilities, I will provide patient guidance and encouragement throughout the learning process.
I am professional, organised and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace. My aim is not only to help students learn, but also to help them develop the confidence and independence to continue improving beyond our lessons.

My approach to vocal coaching is friendly, practical and tailored to each student. I believe singing lessons should be enjoyable while also helping you build strong technique, confidence and your own individual sound.
Every student is different, so I adapt my teaching to their goals, experience and musical interests. Lessons can include breathing and vocal exercises, warm-ups, pitch and vocal control, tone, diction, range development and performance technique. I also like to work with songs that the student genuinely enjoys, using them to develop technique in a practical and engaging way.
For students who are interested in performing, I can also focus on stage confidence, microphone technique, expression, interpretation and connecting with an audience. For singers preparing for auditions or performances, lessons can be tailored specifically around the material they need to perform.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although shorter sessions can be arranged depending on the student's age and requirements. Lessons are structured so that we work on technique before applying what we have learnt to songs and performance.
I have a strong background in singing, music and performance, including experience performing with choirs and on stage, touring for radio and live performances, and composing music at the Royal College of Music. My experience as a performer allows me to bring a practical understanding of both vocal technique and performing in front of an audience.
Lessons are suitable for beginners through to more experienced singers, and I welcome both adults and younger students. Whether you are completely new to singing, want to develop your voice, prepare for an audition, improve your confidence or simply want to sing for enjoyment, lessons will be adapted to your individual level and goals.
