About Rosalind
I am a guitar tutor with 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music with a Guitar Major. I have taught approximately 200 students across all guitar styles and skill levels. My teaching covers classical, jazz, blues, acoustic, and electric guitar with strong music theory and technique throughout every course. I specialise in scales, chord harmony, rhythm training, improvisation, songwriting, and live performance preparation. I have a deep passion for helping students connect emotionally with music and develop a style that is genuinely and authentically their own. I have coached students for music school auditions, recording sessions, live performances, and original songwriting projects. Let me help you become the guitarist you have always dreamed of being.

My guitar lessons are designed to build exceptional technical foundations while keeping every session musically inspiring and creatively fulfilling. I begin every student relationship with a thorough assessment of their level, musical interests, and personal goals so lessons are always immediately relevant and motivating. Warm-ups develop scale patterns, chord transitions, and picking exercises that build the physical skills needed for fluent and expressive playing. Theory is introduced progressively alongside practical playing, connecting every concept directly to the real music the student is engaged with. Jazz students work on chord voicings, extended harmonies, improvisation, and the harmonic language of the jazz tradition. Blues and rock students focus on pentatonic improvisation, bending, vibrato, and authentic expressive delivery. Backing tracks are used consistently to develop timing, feel, and musical sensitivity in any real performance context. Classical students develop formal fingerstyle technique, structured repertoire, and the technical standards needed for examination or concert performance. Weekly practice plans are provided after every lesson so students know exactly what to work on at home and can track their progress clearly and confidently. My commitment is to help every student become a technically solid, creatively confident, and deeply passionate guitarist.
