About Lauren
I am an experienced Piano tutor with 10 years of teaching experience, helping students of all levels improve their musical skills, confidence, and performance abilities. I have successfully taught 150-200 students, guiding beginners and advanced learners in their musical journey. My teaching philosophy focuses on personalized lessons, patience, and creating a positive learning environment where students can grow at their own pace. I specialize in piano techniques, music theory, scales, chords, rhythm, sight-reading, and performance skills. My teaching approach focuses on helping students develop strong piano skills while building confidence, creativity, and a deeper understanding of music. I follow a personalized teaching methodology that considers each student’s goals, experience level, learning pace, and musical interests.
I teach Piano through a combination of practical training and musical knowledge. My lessons include subjects such as piano fundamentals, finger techniques, posture, note reading, scales, chords, rhythm, music theory, sight-reading, ear training, improvisation, song practice, composition basics, and performance skills. I help students understand both the technical and expressive aspects of playing the piano.
I use real-life examples and case studies to make lessons more engaging and meaningful. By connecting musical concepts with famous compositions, professional performances, and practical playing situations, I help students understand how techniques are applied in real music.
Understanding each student’s needs is an important part of my teaching style. I take time to identify their strengths, challenges, and learning preferences, then adjust my approach to provide effective guidance. Whether students are beginners or advanced learners, I support them with patience and encouragement.
Integrity is at the core of my teaching philosophy. I provide honest feedback, set realistic goals, and focus on the student’s overall improvement. I believe in creating a trustworthy learning environment where students feel motivated to practice, improve, and enjoy their musical journey.
