About Tommy

I am a professional vocal coach, singer, and songwriter with over 20 years of industry experience, specialising in contemporary vocal techniques across Pop, Rock, Soul, Blues, Jazz, and Country.

For over a decade, I served as a Senior Lecturer at BIMM University London, shaping the voices and careers of the next generation of professional artists up to degree level. When you book a session with me, you are receiving the exact same level of elite, rigorous vocal training taught at the UK’s top contemporary music conservatories.

Alongside my coaching career, I am an active industry professional:

• Television & Direction: Served as the Musical Director for BBC One’s Michael McIntyre’s Big Show.
• Stage & Performance: Performed live alongside iconic artists including Noel Gallagher, Paloma Faith, and Paul Weller.
• Commercial Success: My self-released solo album achieved a spot in the iTunes Blues Top 10.

Whether you are an aspiring professional preparing for university auditions, an established gigging artist looking to protect your vocal health, or a passionate hobbyist wanting elite guidance, my studio offers an industry-grade environment to unlock your true vocal potential.

About the lesson

Every voice is unique, and my 60-minute sessions are strictly tailored to your specific vocal and career goals. I provide a highly structured, conservatory-level approach to contemporary singing, ensuring you build technical power without losing your artistic identity.

What a Typical 60-Minute Session Includes:

• Vocal Health & Mechanics: Customised, physiological warm-ups to expand your range, blend your registers, and ensure sustainable, injury-free singing.
• Technical Breakthroughs: Deep dives into contemporary techniques (belting, mix voice, agility, and tone production) to actively stretch your current capabilities.
• Repertoire & Style Development: Applying technique directly to the songs you love across Pop, Rock, Soul, Blues, Jazz, RnB, Country, or Folk.
• Performance & Artistry: Phrasing, microphone technique, emotional delivery, and building a reliable independent practice routine.

Who I Teach:

My studio welcomes dedicated voices at all stages of their journey:
• Professionals & Touring Artists: Vocal maintenance, stamina building, and high-pressure performance preparation.
• Advanced & Degree Applicants: Audition prep, portfolio building, and conservatory-level technique.
• Beginners & Intermediates: Building foundational confidence, pitch control, and correct vocal habits from day one.

Bonus Studio Offering: Artist & Professional Development As a Certified Life Coach, I offer a unique edge for singers looking to enter the industry. Beyond vocal mechanics, our sessions can incorporate professional mentoring, performance anxiety management, songwriting development, and career goal mapping to help you navigate the music business with confidence.
