About Eldho
I’m Eldho Skaria, a passionate chess player and coach from India with over 14 years of experience and a FIDE rating of 2102. I began playing at the age of 8 and have represented India at the Under-16 Commonwealth Chess Championship (2019). I’ve won multiple state championships and represented my state in several national tournaments. With 5 years of coaching experience, I’ve trained students aged 5 to 50, helping them build strategic understanding, confidence, and discipline through structured lessons and personalized feedback.

My chess program follows a structured approach, progressing through the opening, middlegame, and endgame phases of the game.
In the opening, students learn different opening repertoires tailored to their playing style and comfort level. I guide them in understanding key principles, plans, and transitions to achieve solid positions early in the game.
During the middlegame, lessons focus on both tactical awareness and positional understanding — essential skills for becoming an advanced player. Students learn how to evaluate positions, create plans, and calculate deeply without relying on guesswork.
In the endgame, I teach how to convert small advantages into wins, improve calculation skills, and visualize moves without moving the pieces on the board — an important step toward playing blindfold chess. Advanced students will also develop the ability to calculate 8 or more moves ahead with clarity and precision.
Every session includes personalized analysis of your games to identify strengths and weaknesses, along with homework exercises to reinforce each topic between lessons. My goal is to help students become independent thinkers and confident players, capable of analyzing and improving their own games.
