About Nicolette
I am a civil engineering student in my final year at the University of Edinburgh. Prior to that, I studied in Malaysia, doing Physics, Maths and Chemistry at A-Level obtaining 3As. My mother tutors for a living so I grew up helping her tutor younger children when I was 13+. My past students have shown improvement in their Mathematics, Science and English grades from Cs to high Bs and As.

I attended tuition for my final years in high school, where I found that the fresh graduates teaching me were able to actively engage and relate to my learning style. As a tutor, I decided to adopt that approach. I am friendly, calm and patient, whilst concise. I believe in listening to a student's reasoning to ensure they arrive at logical conclusions with me as a guide. This is the best way for the student to retain new information, as it is more self-driven.
