About the lesson

Hi, I’m Kevin! I’m currently pursuing a Master of Science in Finance and hold a background in actuarial science. Over the years, I’ve worked in finance, insurance, and data analysis, and I love helping others understand complex topics in a simple and relatable way. My teaching style is supportive, practical, and tailored to each student. I like to start by understanding where you are and what goals you have. From there, we’ll review key concepts together, work through real examples, and focus on building both your understanding and your confidence. I use tools like Excel, Python, and Tableau to show how math and finance apply in the real world, and I keep things interactive so you're never just memorizing—you’re learning how to think. A typical lesson includes a quick review, a focused explanation of the topic, and hands-on practice. I make sure every session ends with a clear takeaway and, if you’re up for it, a small challenge to keep building your skills. What makes my approach different is that I’ve been both a student and a working professional. I understand the pressure of exams and deadlines, but I also know how valuable it is to see how your learning fits into actual careers and industries. I work best with university students, high school students preparing for college, and early-career professionals who want to level up in areas like finance, math, data analysis, or exam prep like the CFA Level I.
