About Rachael

Hi, I’m Rachael! I’m a 22-year-old First Class Honours graduate in Anthropology from Durham University, and I’m currently studying for a Master’s at the University of Liverpool. Whether you’re looking for one-off support with a tricky homework task or regular sessions to build exam confidence, my priority is to make sure you feel supported, assured, and confident in your learning journey. I’m particularly familiar with the Cambridge, Edexcel, and AQA exam boards, and I offer essay editing and feedback for students in KS3 and above. I’ve always loved learning, reading, and sharing that passion with others. I have hands-on experience working as a teaching assistant in an international school, supporting students from Early Years through to KS3. During my internship, I led Guided Reading sessions with GCSE students learning English as an additional language, and I also assisted with examination invigilation. These experiences have given me a strong foundation in adapting lessons to different needs and learning styles. Being on the Publishing Team at my university's media team has also strengthened my proof-reading skills, that I am happy to provide for anyone in need.

About the lesson

Lessons with me are flexible and tailored to you/ your child’s needs. They can be as long or as short as you prefer, and each session can focus on exactly what will be most helpful; whether that’s building confidence in a particular topic, proof-reading an essay, or simply help with homework. The first lesson is completely free, providing the chance to see if you feel comfortable with my teaching style. Following this, the next session will serve as an introduction to the course, where we’ll agree on goals, identify key areas to work on, and outline a clear plan for future lessons.
