About Ollie
Studying maths can be demoralising when you are not taught according to your specific needs. Indeed, this was something I contended with at school when my teachers would repeatedly regurgitate content from textbooks and outdated lesson plans. This had a material effect on my grades and it was only once I was at University that I found a learning style that worked for me - I then graduated with a first class honours. I want to help my students along this path so they can reap the benefits it offers.

I believe that 1-1 tutoring should supplement what you learn in the classroom and be goal-oriented. I therefore like to take time to understand what those goals may look like. They could be to achieve a specific grade needed for a university offer, supplementary lessons to classroom learning or tackling specific topics that are proving difficult. Once I understand the goals, I work with the student to put together a plan to achieve those goals.
