About Toni
I am a dedicated flute tutor with 8 years of experience teaching High School, College students, and adults, having successfully taught around 300 students. My teaching philosophy is to provide lessons that are engaging, personalised, and rewarding.
I emphasise technical skill, tone, rhythm, music theory, and performance practice, while nurturing creativity, expression, and confidence. I believe learning the flute is a journey that combines discipline, joy, and self-expression.
Many of my students have performed in concerts, competitions, and school or college events, achieving milestones that showcase their growth. I strive to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment, helping students develop skill, confidence, and a lifelong passion for music while discovering their unique musical voice.

My teaching approach focuses on making flute learning simple, enjoyable, and effective. I use real-life examples and case studies to show how musical concepts apply in practice, which helps students understand and remember better. I believe in motivating students, encouraging them to stay curious and confident in their learning journey.
I emphasise problem-solving, helping students overcome difficulties in technique or performance, and guiding them to find solutions independently. Integrity is important in my lessons, ensuring honesty, discipline, and dedication to music. I practise flexibility, tailoring lessons according to each student’s level, interests, and learning style.
Lessons are interactive and personalised, focusing on both skill development and a deeper understanding of music. In addition to flute, I can provide guidance in related music subjects, helping students build a strong musical foundation.
My goal is to make learning flute an exciting experience where students grow technically, creatively, and personally, while enjoying every step of the process.
