About Ella
I am currently a Lecturer in History at KCL, and was formerly a fellow at St John's College Cambridge. I was awarded my PhD in History from the University of Cambridge in 2023. I have a track record of outstanding attainment, from A*A*A*A* at A-level, to a Double Starred First (BA) and Distinction (MPhil) from the University of Cambridge. I have also won awards for writing the best History Undergraduate Dissertation in England. I love using my knowledge and expertise to empower students to excel at their exams. I have helped students go from Ds and Cs to Bs, As and A*s, and from 2.2s to Firsts.

I have over 8 years' experience tutoring History and English Literature at all levels, from GCSE to undergraduate. I firmly believe in the power of tutoring, having been tutored myself at A-level, and love to share my passion for History with my students. My lessons are fun and interactive, and I ensure that I am constantly testing whether students are retaining new skills and information. I have an excellent track record at helping students achieve their goals, consistently helping students achieve 1 or 2+ grades above their current attainment. I also currently lecture at undergraduate and postgraduate level. I offer 1-hour or 1.5-hour lessons, for students 11+.
