About Sona
I am a former college professor from Brown University with a PhD in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin and over 10 years of experience teaching math. I've taught all levels of calculus, pre-calculus, differential equations, linear algebra and more.

I help my students truly understand the material so that they know where the formulas come from instead of having to memorize them. The point of math is to stretch the mind and teach critical thinking, so understanding the material is crucial and simply memorizing formulas will not get you very far.
In addition to explaining the material, I help guide my students through practice problems and create extra practice problems if necessary. Practice is key to understanding how things work, simply listening to me explain the material is not enough.
I am excellent at what I do and if you're willing to put in the time, I can help you with your homework or study for your next exam.
