About Wai hlyan
Hello! I’m Wai Hlyan, a second-year Biology student at Northumbria University, having previously studied Medical Bioscience at Monash University. My academic journey has given me a solid foundation across both the life and physical sciences. I achieved A grades in Mathematics and Further Mathematics* and received High Distinctions in Chemistry and Statistics, reflecting my strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Although I am new to formal tutoring, I have often helped classmates and younger students understand challenging topics by breaking them down into simple, logical steps. My goal is to make learning clear, enjoyable, and confidence-building. I take pride in my patience, organisation, and ability to adapt lessons to suit each student’s learning style. I am deeply passionate about helping students succeed in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Biology, and Statistics, particularly at GCSE and A-Level. As a second-year Biology student at Northumbria University and former Medical Bioscience student at Monash, I bring a strong scientific and mathematical foundation to my lessons. Having achieved A* in Maths and Further Maths and High Distinctions in Chemistry and Statistics, I focus on helping students understand concepts deeply rather than memorising them.
