About Cherryl

With a PhD in Mathematics and having taught Maths at a University for 20 years, I have a genuine and immense passion for teaching.

I have extensive tutoring experience in Brisbane for 7 years, both doing one-on-one tutoring and have managed an Education centre of nearly 200 students, ranging from primary school to secondary school students. I specialise in Senior Maths subjects (However, for this year, I am not accepting Year 12 Maths Specialist).

Due to my extensive teaching experience, I can easily determine the learning gaps in students and effectively target these to bridge their learning. My priority is for students to feel supported throughout the whole process so that they can develop to be confident and independent thinkers. Outside of classes, I give out worksheets and homework for additional practice to encourage continuous learning. I am also available any time to conduct review classes for my students before exams, to give feedback on assignments and can be messaged for any Maths related questions. For senior students, I can help with preparing for the ATAR exams.

I conduct tutorials at my place at Coopers Plains and I can also offer online tutorials via Zoom.

About the lesson

I offer one to one Maths tutorials to year 7 to 12 students.
My usual session is for 1 hour. I give out worksheets and revision materials to students if needed to supplement their learning.

I have been a University professor for 20 years and have been tutoring in Brisbane for 7 years.
