About Purusotha

I have been tutoring for more than six years now.
I completed three years of my medical degree at Brighton and Sussex Medical school before starting an intercalated DPhil (PhD) in Oncology at the University of Oxford from 2022-2025.

I have now resumed year 4 of my medical degree in Brighton and have plans to pursue an academic clinical career.

I have a track record of 100% A*-A in GCSE English Literature, Language, History and 100% A* in A Level Biology amongst my previous cycle of tutees.
I attended one of the most prestigious independent schools in the country on a full scholarship and achieved 10A*s at GCSE, 4As in my AS Levels and A*AA at A2 Level; a strong academic backbone that should instil confidence amongst my tutees in my ability to guide them through the myriad of public exams that they will have to face.

In addition to subject level teaching I always offer tailored university admissions advice, guidance on interview and presentation tips as well as bespoke mentoring for many challenges for the transition between secondary school to undergraduate education.

About the lesson

I am a strong believer in personalised medicine and personalised teaching. I aim to build a positive rapport with all of my tutees before tailoring my teaching to their areas of weakness and producing informative learning materials.
I have found from personal experience that diagrams and flow charts that are hand drawn are able to de-mystify the complex process covered in the Biology A Level course.
