About Ariel

I am currently finishing my doctoral thesis in European literature at the University of Lancaster, after having done a research Masters in the History of Science at the University of Paris Diderot. In addition to the analytical and writing skills that I have honed during this time, as a bilingual French-American I have taught French to groups of varying ages and levels (from beginner classes for children to advanced classes for adult learners in higher education). I always ensure that my lessons are adapted to the language level and cultural interests of my students, so that they can feel comfortable and engaged while they learn. Whether you are looking to improve your language skills for personal or professional reasons, or looking for help with interpreting or writing academic texts, I am here to support you every step of the way.

About the lesson

The first language lesson, offered for free, will serve to outline the student's language level and learning interests. Ensuing lessons will be structured thematically to address the student's needs. Likewise, if the student is interested in help with historical or literary analysis, in either French or English, the first lesson will serve to determine the ways in which I can lend my expertise, and each ensuing lesson will be planned around a specific point of interest. If the student is interested in help with proofreading or written expression, whether in English or French, the first lesson will be held to determine a work schedule, knowing that I offer to work in segments of < 500 words.
