About Lila

I am Lila, a 28-year-old French traveler from Brittany (the best region of France). Before coming to New Zealand, I worked as a journalist for an international news channel in France and I am fluent in English, holding a Master's from the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in bilingual journalism. I have been told I am very chatty, which is great to practice speaking French with me! I am very cheerful and patient, and I love cultural exchanges so I hope I can make you love the language and the culture.

About the lesson

My lessons are open to everyone: I have tutored kids and adults alike in French and in English, and I can adapt to any level.

I studied English linguistics and literatures for four years before that, so I am very much at ease with teaching the grammar and the difficult parts of how languages work if that's what you are looking for! Otherwise, I am very happy to share my knowledge of the French language and culture (including food, literature and cinema), recommend you the best places to visit in France and give you all the tools to be able to communicate with ease while ordering at a boulangerie. I know French is a difficult language to learn but it can be fun!

I have a job in the morning but I am free all afternoons until 8pm. My goal is that you enjoy learning so we'll discuss together what works for best for you.
