About Julie
Hello! My name is Julie, I'm 25, and I am a teacher in France. I have a literature background and I am an experienced tutor. During my studies I used to give private lessons in various fields to students aged 10 to 50! I taught French language, literature, journalism, geography... Today I only teach to adults or teenagers, my lessons focus on culture (Gainsbourg, la pétanque, Simone Veil, news topics, politics...) and there is a grammar/conjugation point of at least 15 min during each lesson. I AM NOW BASED IN FRANCE AND CAN'T FIND HOW TO CHANGE MY LOCATION

At first we will determine your needs and aims. - pass an exam? - have the basic vocabulary to understand a simple conversation? have an advanced vocabulary in a specific field? - improve your knowledge about French culture? We will speak a lot, to prevent mental blocks, and study inspiring examples. It is not easy to write here about my methodology because it is very different from one student to another. I try to understand how the person in front of me learns, I don't impose my teaching schemes. What I can say is that I'm not an extremely harsh tutor. I teach with a big smile and a profusion of examples, funny anecdotes. When a student is facing a blockage, I don't rush headlong, I never get angry, I'm always trying to understand and find solutions. I've always considered that learning should be pleasant, and when it's not, we end up remembering nothing :)
