About Isla

I hold a PhD in French Linguistics and have been teaching French for 8 years. Throughout my career, I have worked with learners of different ages and abilities, helping them develop practical communication skills in a supportive environment. Teaching languages has always been my passion.

My teaching style combines structure, patience, and interactive learning. I encourage students to ask questions, practise regularly, and develop confidence through meaningful communication instead of memorisation alone. Every lesson is planned with individual progress in mind.

Outside teaching, I enjoy reading French literature, exploring Francophone culture, and improving my own language knowledge through continuous learning. These experiences help me bring authentic examples into my lessons. I look forward to helping every learner achieve confidence and fluency in French.

About the lesson

My French lessons focus on practical communication supported by strong language foundations. Students learn pronunciation, grammar, verb conjugation, listening comprehension, sentence building, useful vocabulary, reading practice, idiomatic expressions, and everyday conversations through clear and enjoyable lessons. I explain difficult topics using simple English to make learning comfortable.

Lessons include interactive conversations, audio activities, reading passages, speaking exercises, cultural discussions, and vocabulary practice that strengthen every language skill together. Students receive supportive feedback and regular revision sessions that improve both fluency and accuracy over time.

Whether your goal is travel, education, work, or personal growth, I adapt lessons to suit your learning needs. I believe confidence develops through consistent practice and positive encouragement. Every class helps students become more comfortable communicating in French while enjoying the learning process.
