About Scott

Hello! My name is Scott, I'm a friendly and approachable MEng Aerospace Engineering Graduate teaching Maths for GCSE and A-Level in an engaging manner. I graduated from the University of Leicester with first class honours in July 2022. Engineering is a heavily maths-based subject and having fairly recently been down the entire chain of GCSE through to Post Graduate level and beyond, I fully understand the challenges of Maths at these levels and that you may need some extra help getting to where you want to be!

About the lesson

I aim to teach in an engaging manner that allows students to feel confident in their ability and comfortable in asking any questions. I cater to all ability levels, giving 1 to 1 feedback, offering everything from one-off lessons on a particular topic you may be struggling with, to packs of lessons aimed at a wide variety of topics/exam boards, the choice is yours. Lessons will be 1 or 2 hours, some of that time will be myself explaining a topic then with a portion of the time dedicated to working through examples together along with additional exercises for the student to take away. Maths doesn’t need to be difficult, it just needs to be taught in a way that works for you. We all understand things at a different speed and that’s okay! (I also have a clear DBS check certificate which I am happy to share upon request)

Perfect! Relevance of lessons, communication, explains methodology well adjusting to level of progress/ attention needed for different topics. He has built a great rapport with my son, we found Scott on this site to help my son with GCSE maths (helped him secure a top grade) and we have booked him again to now help with A level maths - really rate Scott !
