About Lwam

Hi, I’m Lwam, a dedicated and friendly maths tutor with a strong understanding of KS2 mathematics. I am currently studying GCSE Maths, which allows me to stay familiar with the curriculum and understand common areas where students struggle.

I have a patient and calm approach to teaching, and I genuinely enjoy helping children build their confidence in maths. I understand that every child learns differently, so I adapt my explanations to suit their individual needs. My goal is to make maths feel less overwhelming and more achievable for every student I work with.

About the lesson

My lessons are structured, patient and confidence focused. I break topics down into simple, manageable steps and make sure each child fully understands before moving on. I create a calm and supportive environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and are never made to feel embarrassed about mistakes.

Each lesson is tailored to your child’s needs and learning pace. We practise key skills through clear explanations, guided examples and independent questions to build both understanding and confidence. For Year 6 students, I also include SATs style practice to help them feel prepared and less anxious about exams. My goal is not just to improve results, but to help children feel more confident and capable in maths.
