About Yichi

I am a chemical engineering student graduated from the University of Melbourne, with a Master of Engineering degree. I am currently working as a causal tutor at TopScore Education, responsible for chemistry and Math Methods, with half-a-year of experience. Effectively strengthened subject comprehension, helped students to overcome learning obstacles, boosted student confidence and promoted self-directed learning.

About the lesson

I'll be able to provide VCE level chemistry tutoring and primary to secondary level maths tutoring. I normally structure my lesson in a sequence of revision, concept explaining, related questions practice, and summary. I look out for the student's weakness, and help to avoid potential mistakes and misunderstandings in the future. I'm very easy-going and friendly, and I am very happy to share my experience and help young people.

Perfect! Hailey is a very knowledgeable, kind and dedicated tutor. Hailey has been tutoring me for the chemistry contents of the preliminary HSC course, and each lesson I am left with a very thorough understanding of the topics. Hailey uses a very organised lesson plan that covers the conceptual aspects of the content, followed by guided practice questions that solidify the newly taught material. I am awed at her ability and attentiveness to spot the misconceptions and flaws in my knowledge, as well as her very clear and clarifying solutions. Hailey's talent for teaching truly shines through her tireless devotion towards each student, as she puts in genuine effort to make students comfortable and familiar with hard topics. Hailey has helped me so much to get a good, firm grasp around tough chemistry concepts - not only has she boosted my confidence in chemistry, but she has also sparked a newfound interest and passion in the subject through her brilliant teaching methods. Throughout each lesson, Hailey always maintains a positive and kind attitude, welcoming students in for another vigorous lesson.

Sophie is an excellent student. Sophie has strong independence and she takes care of her learning progress very well. She is able to grasp the key information from each chapter and also take care of the details. She kept her work in a clean and organized manner, which is very easy to track back and also easy for me to check her work. In addition, the pace that she went through every chapter is about right. I am also very impressed by her self-learning ability as she has very high accuracy in most practice questions she did. For explanation type questions, she can always gave a thorough explanation which includes most of the key information. For the recent few classes we had together, we were mainly focusing on solving some of the misconceptions or confusion she had before. I believe she can do very well in chemistry with her dedication and hardworking.
