About Ryan
Hi there, thanks for visiting my page! My name is Ryan, and I am product manager and entrepreneur with 2 years of professional work experience. I received a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park with a 3.9 GPA, and I will be attending the Harvard Business School in the fall of 2020 to pursue a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). I seemed to not get enough of math in my engineering courses, so I just had to pursue some more math business courses at Harvard... sooo yes, you could say I love math. Previously, I have tutored various students in all different levels of math, ranging from elementary arithmetic all the way to complex multivariable calculus and engineering dynamics. Not only do I seriously enjoy math in theory, but I have also practiced it at great length as an engineering student, a self-taught computer programmer, and a business founder.

My teaching method adapts to your needs. I do not have a one-size-fits-all structure that works for everyone. As a consultant and human-centered design specialist, I have learned firsthand how important it is to listen to the problems that people are having and address them with solutions that fit their mental models. I treat my tutoring sessions just as I would treat any problem I solve as an entrepreneur. During our first session, we will walk through your problems and goals. After listening and analyzing your current skillset in the class, we'll create a tutoring and work structure that matches your style. If something isn't working or you aren't reaching the results you're aiming for, we will adjust our structure.
TL;DR: I am flexible, I teach problems in ways that match your expectations, and we adjust on the go.
