About Arisha
My Chemistry tutor inspired me to pursue tutoring because she showed me that struggling with a subject does not mean you are incapable of succeeding in it. I want to help other students develop the same belief in their own abilities and show them that intelligence can be developed through understanding, practice and persistence.

My approach to tutoring is flexible and centred around the individual student. I use a range of techniques, adapting my explanations and teaching style to find what works best for each student and helps them understand the material confidently. Lessons would combine working through the relevant GCSE or A-Level specification with practice questions, and the content would be tailored to what the student would most benefit from. This could include explaining a difficult topic in a different way or working through exam questions step-by-step.
Lessons would typically be one hour sessions per week, although this can be adapted depending on the student's needs and goals. I offer tutoring to GCSE and A-Level students.
While I am new to formal tutoring, I have recently completed my A-Levels with A grades in Biology and Chemistry, giving me recent experience of the specifications, revision process and exam technique from a student's perspective. I aim to use this experience to make lessons approachable, supportive and focused on helping students become more confident and independent in their studies.
