About Celia
My name is Celia (she/her) and I am an aspiring nurse with a passion for the human body, health, and medicine. I loved taking advanced anatomy just last year and physiology was also one of my favorite classes. I tutored other students while in these classes as well and it helped them immensely.
I have ADHD so I have experienced first-hand that the traditional classroom environment is not made for everyone and that many people can only thrive with the help of outside resources that truly cater to how they learn best. Throughout my time in school, I have had to create many techniques for learning that cater to how I learn best - through visuals, in-context examples, mapping concepts out, creating a tactile representation of a concept, etc.
I am very passionate about advocating for each student to get the accessibility accommodations they need in school and to have accessible course materials available to them.

I am very passionate about the human body, its structure and interworkings, and I can't wait to share this knowledge with you too! I am a visual learner so I incorporate a lot of visual tools such as diagrams, videos, drawings, and anything to create a digestible image of an abstract concept. I also love to use metaphors, mnemonics, in-context examples, and other methods of learning that aren't solely based on memorization.
I approach tutoring with the intent of teaching in a way that works best for the student and caters to their way of learning, no matter what pace, accessibility accommodations, or any additional learning tools necessary.
I am open to tutoring all persons regardless of age, disability, ethnicity, race, background, gender, or religion.
