About Michael
I am a Geomatics Technician and have a BTech: Surveying degree which I finished on the 18th of December 2020. I have a background in mathematics, as I did various mathematics modules over the years. My personality is of such that I like to question things. This, characteristics suites well with mathematics, as it helps develop critical thinking, which is an important skill to posses in the world of work.

My teaching methodology is very simple when it comes to mathematics. I like to use different colors when doing calculations. This helps immensely as the brain understands and what certain colors mean. I encourage students to always question everything. Most theories have been developed with certain assumptions that has been made. It is important to get the foundation right, to understand what you doing. Mathematics requires analytical thinking, and not brute memorizing formulas. Practice makes perfect when it comes to mathematics.
