About Cory

I am a passionate and experienced tutor with a strong background in math, education, and problem-solving. I hold degrees from Boston College (Mathematics), Duke University (Engineering Management), and Carnegie Mellon (MBA & Public Policy). With years of experience tutoring students of all levels and two years as a full-time high school math teacher, I was honored to be named Teacher of the Year in my first year. I have worked with middle school, high school, college students, and adult learners, helping them gain confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve their academic goals. My approach is structured yet flexible, adapting to each student’s needs while emphasizing critical thinking and real-world applications. Outside of tutoring, I run a successful health and wellness business, DripDoc, a mobile IV therapy company, and I’m currently developing an AI-powered app that generates fiction stories. About the lesson

I focus on building confidence and deep understanding by breaking down complex concepts into simple, relatable explanations. My teaching approach is student-centered and adaptive, ensuring lessons match individual learning styles and goals.

Before we begin tutoring, students complete an initial assessment on their own to establish a clear starting point. This allows us to maximize our session time for learning and problem-solving. We also do periodic reassessments to track progress and refine our approach.
