About Sumin

My name is Sumin Jeong, and I am a fourth-year student in Integrated Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences at McMaster University. Through my university program, I have developed a strong foundation in math, physics, engineering, and problem-solving. I understand that physics can feel challenging because it combines concepts, formulas, diagrams, and calculations, so I focus on helping students break problems down into clear, manageable steps. With my tutoring experience and academic background, I aim to help students build confidence and improve their understanding of physics.

About the lesson

I believe physics becomes much easier when students understand both the concept behind the problem and the steps needed to solve it. Many physics questions require students to connect ideas like forces, motion, energy, waves, electricity, and equations, so I focus on teaching students how to think through problems instead of simply memorizing formulas. During tutoring sessions, I can help with homework, test preparation, and difficult class concepts. If the student does not have specific homework to review, I will explain the current unit clearly, work through guided examples, and provide practice problems to strengthen their understanding. My goal is to help students become more confident, flexible, and independent problem-solvers in physics.
