About Max
I am just Max. No Mr Hayton or “sir” I am more than just a tutor but am also a friendly face. I strive to see my students succeed in their SATs or GCSEs by providing a more casual, less intimidating alternative to tutoring than some adult tutors may. I am currently in Sixth Form studying A level Maths and Physics after achieving Grade nines in both of these subjects, as well as a grade 8 in Further Maths. Having just sat these exams, I understand the importance of exam technique, and I aim to help students sharpen their skills until there is no stone left unturned in their journey to achieving top grades.

As a 16 year old myself,I provide a friendly and less intimidating approach to tutoring to make your child feel comfortable during sessions. I can provide this comfort in lessons but also guarantee results. My lessons usually range from 1-2 hours but they can be as long or as short as you would want them to be. The first free lesson will be spent laying out a framework for the rest of the time spent tutoring your child, establishing tough subjects and building a steady relationship so that I can effectively tutor your child moving forward. I use past papers, practice questions, and step-by-step explanations to help students not just memorise methods but understand why they work. I understand that not every student learns in the same way, and I am willing to offer a flexible approach to tutoring in order to help my students achieve their best.
