My approach to tutoring centers around making concepts as relatable to students as possible. This mean I like to make use of real life examples, analogies, and interactive exercises to help students understand concepts. I also strive to build a comfortable environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and participate.
My typical lesson plan starts with explaining what the key concepts of a topic are. I'd then proceed to work on examples and practice questions because practice is very important. Finally a good conclusion that wraps up everything that was taught that day.
I believe the fact that I used to be a teaching assistant has given me skills that are highly valuable for this role. My lessons are for anyone in middle school and above.
