About Micah

Hi! My name is Micah and funnily enough I love English. I am from London and have played a high level of rugby.

The main reason I want to teach you is because there is no reason why anyone should not feel confident in the realms of English whether it is reading, writing or debating. It is is something that really be an expression of yourself if delivered in the right way.

In the past I have had some pretty boring teachers, so I know it's not fun trying to learn about Shakespeare at times. However I take a completely different approach and create a conversational nature to it. The best learning takes place when you are not even aware it's happening...

About the lesson

Lessons can range from 40 minutes to 120 minutes.

Typically will first look to asess the ability of the student with a short set of tasks and identify strengths/weaknesses. A conversation will also be had about what has worked and perhaps not worked so well in past learning.

I am looking to truly tailor the experience to the learner, rather than force certain 'one size, fits all' techniques. Therefore at the end of each session I think its important to have a debrief to both instill what has been learnt and see how it has been recieved.

Lessons are for ages ranging from Year 7 to A-level (16-18). Can also include Year 6 learners looking to sit assesment such as SATS and 11+
